The sectional door remains inside the garage as it operates. Importantly for many properties this allows the ability to park directly in front of the garage opening where restricted space is a concern. When closed, all the horizontal panels are interlocked for maximum security, coverage and weather protection. As the door opens the panels initially lift vertically on tracks each side before hinging inward and continuing onto horizontal tracks travelling under the garage ceiling.
